How to Calculate GST?

GST (Goods and Services Tax) is applied on goods and services in India. It includes CGST, SGST, and IGST.

1️⃣ For Exclusive GST

Formula: GST Amount = (Original Cost × GST%) ÷ 100
Net Price = Original Cost + GST Amount

Example: Price = ₹1000, GST = 18% ⇒ GST = ₹180, Total = ₹1180

2️⃣ For Inclusive GST

Formula: Base Price = (Price × 100) ÷ (100 + GST%)
GST Amount = Price − Base Price

Example: Total Price = ₹1180 (includes 18% GST) ⇒ Base Price = ₹1000, GST = ₹180

3️⃣ GST Split (CGST + SGST / IGST)

• Intra-state: CGST and SGST are each 50% of total GST.
• Inter-state: IGST equals full GST amount.
